Vice Chair of the board of directors of the Provincial Health Services Authority, a public health authority with an annual budget of over $3.5 billion. Law degree from the University of British Columbia and BA in Political Studies from Trinity Western University.

Director of the National Security Agency of the United States under Presidents George H.W. Bush and Clinton. United States Director of National Intelligence under Presidents George W. Bush and Obama, managing an organization of 100,000 people with an annual budget of US$47 billion. Former head of the intelligence business at Booz Allen Hamilton, Inc (NYSE:BAH) before retiring as vice chairman. Current board member at multiple organizations. Two-time recipient of the highest United States award for service to the intelligence community under Presidents George W. Bush and Clinton. Masters of Public Administration from George Washington University and holder of multiple honorary doctorate degrees.

Barry Carlson


Veteran executive and investor with 45 years in leadership and governance roles in the software and information technology industries of British Columbia. Most recently Former founder and CEO of Parasun Technologies, Inc. (acquired by Uniserve in 2007) and former chairman and CEO of Scorpion Software, Inc. (acquired by Kaseya in 2015). Former president of the BC Electronic Manufacturer’s Association and led the creation of the BC Technology Industries Association (now BC TECH).

Former chairman and CEO of Utilidata, Inc., former president of global operations and CSO at Forcepoint, and former president of Raytheon Cyber Products, a Raytheon holding, where he sustained double-digit growth in revenue while coordinating M&A activity that led to the creation of Forcepoint. Former leadership roles at Trusted Computer Solutions, Sterling Software, Informix Federal, and NEC. Key figure in the development of trusted Linux variants that became Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the first major Linux OS to qualify as a “trusted” OS under the Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) and Protection Profile (PP) measures of the internationally-recognized Common Criteria Evaluation and Certification Scheme (CCEVS) standard. Former investor and advisor for multiple organizations in the venture capital community. Currently serves on the advisory board for the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Institute (CIRI) and multiple other governmnet committees, industry association working groups, and boards of directors.

Raised early-stage investment and closed Plurilock’s first US$1 million in sales from lighthouse customers in the United States Federal Government and in the critical infrastructure and financial services sectors.
